Regulation of the Search Engines

July 13th, 2009

Hello there,
This is a very interesting article about regulation of the search engines that came out today on TechCrunch.

I agree with the author. The way we move up and down the organic rankings on Google has had us wondering through the years.

Enjoy!

Business Website Marketing

April 6th, 2009

Hi,
I am very happy to say our experience visiting Google was great. We met a lot of great people from the AdWords team and we toured the Googleplex. We even ate at the famous Google cafeterias and micro kitchens! They definitely have great food at Google.

On a more serious note, we spent a couple hours reviewing how to optimize Google AdWords campaigns. As you know, you have a $25 credit towards an AdWords campaign just by being a Web Piston Website Builder client. We thoroughly believe in using AdWords for our own advertising and are very comfortable in saying that your business would benefit from it also.

We had a session on their Quality Score, and we would recommend you focus your attention on making your home page relevant to the search terms used. So for Web Piston users, I would recommend you use your 4 homepage keywords as a starting point for your campaign. Furthermore, you should make sure your ad text also has the keywords, so using the {KeyWord} tag in the headline of your ad is highly recommended.

Finally, if you have under performing keywords (with low quality scores), make sure you pause or delete them as they will affect the score for your overall account, which in turn will lower your Quality Score.

In the coming weeks I will go deeper on all these subjects. If you are new to Google AdWords, I highly recommend you take a look at their marketing platform at http://www.Google.com/AdWords

Thanks.

Going to the Googleplex!

March 26th, 2009

I am very excited to say I am going to the Googleplex next week for a traning on Google AdWords optimization. I will post some tips and recommendations once I come back.

If you are not a Google AdWords user I would highly recommend you check it out. We are heavy users of online marketing at Web Piston.

To this date I think it is the best return on investment for any marketing source.
