Web Piston 11

April 9th, 2009

We are working on the new feature set of Web Piston Website Builder. Our focus for Web Piston 11 is helping you not only make a website but also market it easily. Therefore, we are working on integrating Web Piston with Blogs, Social Networds, Search Engines, and direct mail companies.

Part of the new feature will be:
- Offer / Coupon engine. This will allow you to add an offer directly to the home page or any other page.
- Testimonial engine. This will allow your clients to leave a testimonial directly on the website and then share it with their friends.
- A Blog page. This page will allow you to easily add SEO friendly company news and blog entries so users can see what you are doing and make your site more search engine friendly.
- Integration with Google Local. We will submit your site to Google Local so it shows in local searches.

We are finalizing the feature set and once we do we will post it here and let you know when it will be in production.

Best regards,
The Web Piston Team

Business Website Marketing

April 6th, 2009

Hi,
I am very happy to say our experience visiting Google was great. We met a lot of great people from the AdWords team and we toured the Googleplex. We even ate at the famous Google cafeterias and micro kitchens! They definitely have great food at Google.

On a more serious note, we spent a couple hours reviewing how to optimize Google AdWords campaigns. As you know, you have a $25 credit towards an AdWords campaign just by being a Web Piston Website Builder client. We thoroughly believe in using AdWords for our own advertising and are very comfortable in saying that your business would benefit from it also.

We had a session on their Quality Score, and we would recommend you focus your attention on making your home page relevant to the search terms used. So for Web Piston users, I would recommend you use your 4 homepage keywords as a starting point for your campaign. Furthermore, you should make sure your ad text also has the keywords, so using the {KeyWord} tag in the headline of your ad is highly recommended.

Finally, if you have under performing keywords (with low quality scores), make sure you pause or delete them as they will affect the score for your overall account, which in turn will lower your Quality Score.

In the coming weeks I will go deeper on all these subjects. If you are new to Google AdWords, I highly recommend you take a look at their marketing platform at http://www.Google.com/AdWords

Thanks.

Going to the Googleplex!

March 26th, 2009

I am very excited to say I am going to the Googleplex next week for a traning on Google AdWords optimization. I will post some tips and recommendations once I come back.

If you are not a Google AdWords user I would highly recommend you check it out. We are heavy users of online marketing at Web Piston.

To this date I think it is the best return on investment for any marketing source.

Welcome to the Web Piston Blog!

March 26th, 2009

Dear Visitor,
Welcome to our Blog. I am Ricardo Lasa, the CEO of Web Piston. The purpose of this blog is to keep you posted with the development of Web Piston and establish a channel of communication with our users and website owners.

As a business owner, I will post primarily about what we are doing to help your website drive more business. Or company mission is: “Making the Internet Work for You”. Our 2009 guiding force is to “Deliver Business to YOU”.

I think we have done a pretty good job at providing a website builder that guides non technical users through creating an extremely professional and useful website. We have now the same determination and focus to build marketing and sales tools that will help you take full advantage of the Internet to grow your business.

We are currently working on a Web Piston and Facebook integration so you can use Facebook to promote your products and services in a very non-intrusive and professional manner.

Furthermore, I am going to Google for a meeting next week to learn even more about Google AdWords campaign optimization. I will pass on the knowledge to the community.

Welcome to our blog!
